MOH clarifies on suspected Ebola case in Kakamega

Mumias public health officer, Charles Namasake, has clarified that a middle-aged man suspected to have contracted Ebola was given a clean bill of health.

The medic stated that test results proved that the suspect who had travelled to Uganda did not have the disease despite showing related symptoms.

Earlier, the middle-aged man was reported to have been isolated at a facility in the Western region county.

Samples taken were ferried to the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) for tests.
